There's this guy from my work that I like. We met months ago on a work get together but work in diff. states. We talk now and again by phone and have even got together once..we like each other & he told me that. Also he wants to come see me soon. I asked him what he was up to for the weekend and he told me that he had invited a girl to his house to cook with him. I asked him if this was a girlfriend and he said no it is just a friend. His voice didn't hint of any feelings for her. Do you think he likes her as more than a friend? Also, if he wants something with me, why mention her at all? If he doesnt want something with me, why doesnt he tell me he feels something for this other girl? help.

Ask him. And in the mean time get on with your life and enjoy yourself!

He may be trying to show you that he is an honest person...I'm sure you have not put your entire life on hold just waiting for this out-of-state guy. You must go out with friends, etc. at least. You should be honest with him about what you do in your life.

If you two are meant to be, it will happen. The main thing is that neither of you are married, in serious relationships, etc. I would talk to him about meeting more often...if you feel you know him well enough to suggest that. Otherwise, let him be the one doing the suggesting.

One of the most important things in all relationships is communication. You need to be able to talk to each other about whatever is on your mind. You need to be empathetic toward each others lives and problems. You need to know each other. You can learn a lot on the phone, but seeing each other in person is what's going to make it happen...if it's meant to be. I wish you the best; hope it all works out :)

My guess is that he doesn't know which of you two he likes more. Here's where you enter the stage: show him that you want to be together with him, and that you really mean it. Don't be so defensive - I think that guy needs a little kick from you so he can make up his mind.
Remember: most blokes hate decision-taking. So it is only natural that you, as a woman, show him the right path.

Ask him My motto, when unsure is to stand back and survey the situation, then dive in head first.
