removes the star that they starred you?

Is it b/c you didn't give them best answer?

It's usually after I choose my best answer, then I see the count go down on my stars---I've lost 10 this week!

I don't pay attention to that one either because I am not here for points or a position just here for fun.

I answer questions, and never look back, except to see who gave me a "best" answer.

There are many "trolls" on this site who give negative ratings and report people for no valid reason. I saw one question with about ten perfectly valid answers, yet most had lots of negative ratings.

And I'm completely baffled by people who give negative, or even positive, ratings to any answers where an "opinion" is requested (i.e., something along the lines of, "what do you think of this?"). How can an "opinion" be good or bad??? By definition, one shouldn't be faulted (or approved of) because of their stand on some issue! You might agree or disagree with them, but that's not sufficient reason to give anyone a rating, one way or the other!

Likewise, I'm baffled by anyone who gives "interesting" stars to virtually any question, including this one (sorry if that offends you, but, how is *this* question "interesting" in any respect???). Out of the 1550 questions I've seen and/or answered to date, I've only given 20 an "interesting" star. That's less than 1.5% of my total! It isn't even statistically significant! Between bogus (not to mention repetitive) questions about zits, pregnancies, dating, politics, opinions, etc, and the scant few that are actually worthy of being answered (much less asked!), it amazes me that ANY are worth an "interesting" star!

There have been numerous times that my "best" answers had high "negative" ratings, but the asker or voters saw fit to select me, anyway, which, of course, is highly intelligent on their part! ;) Of course, I'm not that I'm saying that you should pick my answer as "best" because you are so obviously smart, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous! ;)

Seriously, though, in the grand scheme of things, stars, ratings, abuse reports, etc - - not to mention, this and virtually every other website! - - are teeny, tiny, trivialities of life, which should be enjoyed or ignored, and not overly analyzed!

Thus endeth the rant! ;)

I haven't got the time to go back through all of my answers to remove stars.
I star all of the question my contacts ask, and if I get best answer from someone else I will give them a star.

if they removed the star they starred you on accident star means interesting question or do you mean the thums up which means they agree or disagree

One word: childish

It also could have been done in error. But on here it is most likely b/c you did not give them best answer.

I get hardly any stars any way, I think you might be right in what you say though.

I always leave it. Not sure why someone would remove it.

I don't think that ever happened to me..if it did..I didn't notice..
I would think it's pretty petty though.
