I notice after each game that Bill Billicheck does not smile, hug and speak with the opponent coach as you see other coaches do. He seems to even be arrogant with them as he is when he speaks after the game. Has anyone else noticed it? I wonder if he attends coach gatherings, and if they overlook his arrogance and socialize with him outside the field?

i notice it every game. i despize him. he always has the same expression on his face. plus he doesn't even coach, he just puts the ball in bradys hands and watches from the sideline. i would bet money that none of the coaches like him.

It's not each game...it's not even most games. Belichick doesn't hang around the field and chit chat because he doesn't want to get deluged by the press like everybody else does.

Belichick has long been both criticized and complimented for his handling of the press--his team does the talking for him, on the field, during the game. As for shaking hands with other coaches, he *almost* always does. There's nothing that obligates him to do so; it's a courtesy, sure, but he's not known for being 'everybody's best friend.' He's the Mad Scientist of football--sometimes really, really smart people are a little socially awkward. Maybe that's him. He is certainly not arrogant--any coach that makes his team wear "Humble Pie--I Eat it Every Day" t-shirts in the locker room is far from arrogant.

I noticed it when they played the Jets. Honestly, I would go to the other coach, smile, shake his hand, and wish him good luck on the next game. To me, Billicheck just acts like he is better than everyone else. He has no reason to do that. He's like the popular guy in high school that everyone hates b/c he is a snob.

He has been doing this for YEARS...He is not a sociable, friendly guy during the football season, to be honest, I really don't like him, great coach, can't take that away, but yeah, he is kinda a pri**....

Patriots win like they have been, NOW it is this HUGE issue.....

That's Bill, He's always been like that. Deal with it. All the talk about handshake and body language is getting tiring.

That's just his way.

I'm looking forward to the end-of-game confrontation with Mangini at the end of the Jets contest...

Not everyone has to be the same.
