I've never reached such a hard-and-fast conclusion.
I just "am".
I'm mature when I have to be, and quite often I do things (supposedly) reserved for those younger than I.
Also known as: I don't think 25 is too *old* to have some serious fun! :-) In fact, I think of my age so seldom that it's almost irrelevant.
Unlike some of my peers, I *never* sit around bemoaning the march of advancing age. I mean, what's the point of being so negative? That's probably the reason the pop-psych term 'quarter-life crisis' was invented.
30 in 5 years? Who cares! Contemplating that is so defeatist. Like, seriously, it rarely crosses my mind.
Have I made mistakes in life? Sure.
Do I regret some stuff? Yes, and who doesn't!
But do I conform to what "they" (culture, society, peers, the world) say that someone my age should act like. Dress like. Listen to. Eat. Drink. Drive. Do or not do?
Sometimes, sometimes not.
You won't find a suit in my closet.
Or a Scion or Focus in my driveway or whatever it is that people in their 20s are supposed to be driving.
I don't drink all of that fancy Starbucks coffee, but you can pass me another Pepsi, if you please.
I don't wear a watch, but do wear kandi bracelets.
You won't find me frequenting bars, but instead I rave.
John Mayer, U2 and the like you won't see in my playlists.
On my plate, you'll find greasy pizza, rather than quiche.
In my fridge, you'll find orange juice and milk, rather than beer and wine.
You won't find a PS3 or Wii or whatever hooked to my television, but I do prefer Civilization and the like!
No ring on my finger, nor do I wish to have one.
No children wanted in my future either.
But pets are nice. And I can't forget my friends!
Speaking of, we "hang out" and "kick it" rather than "get together".
On Saturday nights...sometimes I party hard, sometimes I curl up with a good book - depends on my mood.
And instead of reading what Oprah or USA Today tells me to, I read what piques my interest.
In short, I'm me. I do what I want to.
25...that's what it says on my driver's license. That's my chronological age, and what I fill in on forms and paperwork.
But it's simply a number. No need to fret about it!

I'll be 25 in February and to be honest, I don't consider myself an adult yet. I feel like I'm still 18! I like to party and go clubbing. Maybe when I'm 26 I'll feel like an adult.

I guess I was at a great place in maturity (making responsible decisions and stuff) around 30. The 10 years before was a tremendous learning experience. Wish I could have done better, but what the heck.
However, at 41 I am still learning and growing.

I'm turning 27 in a month and I still don't really feel like an adult. I take care of myself and have lived away from my parents for ten years now... but I just never really felt like a "grown-up." I'm wondering if I ever will!

I think we always having growing to do. I'm 47 now and still don't know if I act like a proper adult all the time. My kids are 22 & 23 and then my granddaughter is 1, they keep me young.
Plus, I don't believe it is healthy for anyone to ever lose that kid inside of them!!!

I turn 30 in a month. I used to feel like an adult, but the older I get, the more immature I feel.

When I was sitting at the table balancing our checking account, with one baby crying in the crib, the other saying, Shut Baby Up, and then my husband burps from the living room and asked me when will supper be made!
That's when I knew I was an Adult, Age, 27
Now 33
