Do you have a guy on your favorite team that you really don't like? For me, it's Reed Johnson of my beloved Jays. A horribly impatient leadoff hitter who refuses to take pitches, no power, and a terrible baserunner for someone with good speed.
Who would you pick from your favorite team?

What's the deal with all the thumbs-down here? I've given a bunch of thumbs-up, but the trolls must have run wild here.

Todd Jones (closer) of the Tigers
I am a big fan of the Tigers, but this guy gets on my nerves. Almost every game the Tigers won by 1-3 runs, it wasn't because of Jones. The Tigers would have to get at least a 3-run cushion before putting him in because you could almost be sure he would give up a run or two.
And then he comes back this year wanting money when he essentially didn't earn it. He had an ERA of around 3.5+ which is unacceptable for a closer.
Otherwise than that, I am a big fan of every other Tiger. Great question!

Well it was Jason LaRue last year. What a waste of space. He hit .148 last year - .148 and averaged an error behind the plate every 10 starts. Competely unacceptable. He's not a Royal anymore, so I don't know yet who'll be my least favorite player this year.

Ervin Santana
He's the poster child of inconsistency. He'll fan 10 and deal some serious cheese at home one game, only to get absolutely hammered on the road.
I'm also not fond of the fact that he will likely never be a complete game pitcher. He's good for 6 max, which is fine but more often than not he's done in 5 and Mike has to work deep into the bullpen.

Andy Gonzalez of the White Sox. At the end of last year he was put at third because Crede was injured and Fields was trying his luck in left. Pretty much every ball hit over there(or it seemed like it) was an error. If I remember correctly, he once threw away 3 balls in one game. It may even have been in one inning, I don't recall, so cannot say that for sure. Hope he doesn't end up there next year!

I'm not hatin' on any of them... but if I had to pick, it'd be Joe Borowski. The guy's credited with the most saves last year, but it has nothing to do with him. I'd feel much more comfortable with almost any other closer in the game.

Red Sox- Julian Tavarez, Tavarez 'cause whenever he's in a game and we have the momentum he'll let up 4-6 runs in the inning to put us behind again, and even when we don't have the lead he'll let up a million runs to make it worse, and I have some advice for Francona never put Tavares in when we have less then a 5 run lead unless he's the starter...which he shouldn't ever be. He are some of Tavarez's stats: Rec. 7-11, ERA 5.15, HR 14, BB 51, salary $3,350,000, enough said.

I'm not sure if you can even consider him part of the team yet, but Cameron Maybin of the Tigers. He's been called up a few times.
But as to a consistent player, I'd have to say my least favorite would be Guillen, I love him, but he's my least favorite, still love him though. The Tigers would be no where near as great without him.

I used to like Scott Rolen, and I still think he's a fine player, but I'm tired of this spat he's having with LaRussa. I'm no big fan of LaRussa's either, but he is the manager and if you play for him you should get along with him. The fact that they aren't even on speaking terms is a bit juvenile. I hope Rolen gets traded - he's pretty much done anyway.

I have to go with Pat "the no bat" Burrell. He gets decent numbers by the end of the year but kills momentum every time by striking out...half the time looking! He thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, looks like a fool playing balls in the outfield. Too bad Ed Wade couldn't take him and the huge contract he gave him to Houston!
