I've started my own website to sell my handmade bracelets.
I would love some input on how I can make my page better, if there are any suggestions I would love to hear them! Also I realise there isn't much variety on the site yet but more is being added :)

Thanks :)
Oh ya and if you see anything you'd like go ahead and place an order! Just in time for the Holidays!

Wow not bad. I love the texture of the background. It's actually a lot better than most self made websites I've seen.

-The biggest problem with the website would be weight of everything. The text, color, and tables feel very heavy. Try loosing it up with lighter text size, weight, and color. Your main focus are your products and services. Let the beauty of your products take center stage.

-Also your identity is confusing. When I first open your website I see a fairy and a welcome sign in a medieval typeface. This leads me to believe that I'm a fantasy website. Again, have your bracelets at the forefront of your page instead of the bottom.

-There are some redundancies such as the products page. You have "Gena's Handcrafted Bracelets twice". Take out the second one. For your products, put the price underneath the description. This will act like a sales pitch. By the way your bracelets look great.

-Your portrait photo is distorted. It looks like it's squeezed in with a software program. Honestly it's not that flattering. It looks like your in a cave. Get a really good professional photo, or don't even put it up. There's nothing wrong with not showing yourself.

-Your Photos page doesn't have any content, yet you probably know this.

-When I get to the bottom of the page, you should put a "back to top" button or some kind of link so people don't have to scroll back to up manually.

-Rates and services ironically doesn't have any rates and services yet shipping and order information. Title accordingly. You should organize and link appropriately to make things more convenient.

-The photos are okay. You should consider a professional photographer. It will make all the difference. If you can't afford it, make friends with someone who knows how to do it. Or even a hobbyist could take pretty decent photos of it. Barter your services for their services. I'm sure someone would want your great bracelets.

Overall it's quite nice. There's a lot of work to be done, but it's not impossible. Good luck with your business and website.

editing - I see you are improving the site as we go. You got rid of the extra space but now there is a false start in that section.

Your post may get deleted because of the sales pitch at the end, but here goes.

Is there a reason why you don't offer the products on the front page? Also there is too much blank space at the top of the 3rd section.

There should be a paypal "buy now" button on each bracelet, and a print-able order form for those who want to send checks. Internet shoppers are impulse buyers. They'll click away to a site that offers the same bracelets and a quicker way to buy.

As soon as you get some money coming in, lose the sponsors and dump the counter. It screams "hobby crafter". A real website is $7.00 or less per month. Get rid of the "satisfied clients" page until you have something to put there. On the "about me" page, take away all that personal stuff and put your experience, training and philosophy of business instead. People won't trust you if they think you are self-centered. We all have families and adorable children.

If you don't get any sales, consider making your own beads or finding a source for rare ones not available on the hobby market. When I was shopping online for a beaded watch band, I skipped over many $25.00 ones and went for a $75.00 one where the artist had made the beads by hand. I may be an impulse shopper but I still like quality!

It's actually not bad, but the Welcome sign is a little bright and hard on the eyes, perhaps go a little more subtle.
