featured one of your questions on the main page? I thought my question regarding making fruit cake in a shop vise was worthy of national recognition?

No. I have never even given it a thought. It doesn't matter at all to me whether or not any of my questions are ever featured on the main page. I just enjoy answering questions and in some small way helping others. I also am thankful to be able to have a scource to seek help when I may need an outside point of view.

If you'll notice, the majority of the "featured" questions are from users with TONS of questions, usually over a variety of topics.
Not to be weird, but maybe Yahoo! has people asking questions just to increase interest in the new Answers feature.

Sounds like your hell bent on self recognition. Either find 'youtube' or go look in a mirror. You're just not that important, besides anyone who doesn't understand the purpose of fruit cake, the novelty of it or the appreciation for it should go hungry for the entire holiday season.

It should be. Cooking a complete dinner on the car manifold has now gained renowned knowledge. What is a funny thing. about that is , that we were doing it, to keep our fried chicken warm long before some one demonstrated it on national TV. ERg-- that could have been me, so don't feel bad. Better luck the next time.

normally when I come to YA it's for a specific reason... if not I'll look at the main page.... but not always
