I like both shows, personally. Mike & Mike is lighter, and makes me laugh, but I enjoy both Golic's and Greenberg's insight on things. Mike and the Mad Dog are both intelligent, but I think Mike needs to loosen up. Yes, he knows a hell of a lot about baseball, but the Mad Dog is crazy, but that's why I enjoy their show.

But what's with all the guys with the name "Mike"?

Not really. There is a big difference between the shows. Mike and Mike conduct themselves more like proffessionals. Mike and Mike dont beat down their guests. Mike and the mad dog spend a lot of time talking about themselves and what they had for dinner last night and what they did on the weekend. Mike and the mad Dog like to drop names to make themselves seem more important. I think that Mike and Mike hold themselves to higher standards and there show is completely different.

I find Greenberg and Golic a lot more low-key than the WFAN pair, especially Russo and his annoyingly grating voice. When he starts getting excited, he kind of sounds like my 3-year-old daughter when she doesn't get her way.

I actually enjoy the ESPN show more because it's a little more casual and conversational. I also think Greenberg and Golic have great chemistry and bring obviously different backgrounds to the show. I don't think they're much alike, really, and I doubt they're trying to do so.

1. Okay there is no way the guy deserved a standing ovation. In my opinion, I think that would have just been ridiculous, especially to Pedro. The fans have this love/hate relationship with Pedro Martinez. In that situation, I think the booing was a higher compliment than clapping would have been. He did a great job last night. If I were at the stadium last night, I wouldn't have booed him (just not my style) but he wouldn't be getting cheers from me either. 2. I think that they were both wrong in that situation. Should Don Zimmer have charged at Pedro like that? No. However Pedro was even more wrong by throwing him on the floor. Completely uncalled for no matter how you look at it.

Greeny and Golic won't ask the tough questions Mike & the Mad Dog would, but Greeny and Golic actually respect other people's opinions unlike Mike Franseca who thinks everything he believes is right, Russo isn't as bad but he'll still force his opinion down your throat.

I find "Greeny" and Golic a bit soft... they remind me of the big dog and little dog from Tom & Jerry

I think Mike Francesa is a bit pompous but I also find his reasonings intriguing, even amusing. Mad Dog's job is to co-sign all Mike's statements. Love 'em both but more love for the Mike and Mad Dog Team.

They don't know enough about sports to be wannabes. They are a dumbed down sports show for the casual sports fan.
