I have a project and I want to use the "found a treasure" sound from the legend of zelda games and I wondered if you can take an MP3 file and use it like that.
P.S. If you need to convert it from MP3 I have and can download more Software.

yes you can. From the insert menu click "movies and sounds" then select "sound from file." Just select the .mp3 and hit ok. PowerPoint will then ask you if you want to start the sound automatically or by a manual click.
