Michaels has great showman skills, similar to the Rock. He can get the audience to like him or hate him. He works the audience/fans well.
However, I prefer Bret. A little less boastful and more skilled,

Bret the hit man heart is more of a legend because in the beginning he was the one wrestler besides rick flare that everyone knew and loved. Also because his father was a wrestler as well as his brother Owen heart {who died may he rest in peace R.I.P} which made him known even before he started wrestling. He was also in Ecw after Vince mchman, who was the son of the chairman at the time before the chairman died screwed him out of a the tittle which created an epidemic all threw out Canada since Bret heart was Canadian. Shawn Michal's is a excellent wrestler who still wrestles and credited the infamous DX but he can not hold a candle to what Bret the hit man heart has accomplished.

I like HBK a lot because he's a good guy who is also a christian,people don't like him because of what he did to Bret but that was when he gave up his religion.I prefer HBK because he is totally awesome while I've always thought of Bret as very miserable even though he had the better technical wrestling skills out of the two.
I'm going with HBK.

He is my favorite wrestler, always has been.
He has way more talent than Bret Hart.
He brings skill along with charisma to the ring every time we see him.
Bret Hart is a sellout. He left his fans and wont even attempt to make an appearance for them on WWE or TNA television. Harts fans were more devestated than LSU fans when LSU lost to Arkansas when he refused to come back to wrestling.
HBK gives his all to his fans. He loves his fans. HBK has great mic skills and is an awesome wrestler. I could go on about this all day but i hope i gave enough for best answer

Brett "the Hitman" Hart....hands down..... they are both great people with a wonderful personality. they both command respect inthe locker room. both have been great but very different fighters, and champions in their own right. i first saw brett fight on tv when i was 6 or 7 and i love him. he ws my favourite because he respected his opponents. he always gave away his shiny purple-pink glasses to a kid and i think that was so beautiful. i wished i was 1 of those lucky kids for once. shawn was a rocker then.(part of they tag team the rockers) He was a very flambouyant fighter with many quick tricks up his sleeves. but brett's technical abilities went way off the charts back then. he was nick named the excellance of executions. wasn't that just soooo cool. man i wish i had one nick name like that. but no credits undone to shawn.he is the current crowd pleaser but he never had the personal loving/soft side that i saw in brett. you can see what i mean in the recent interviews earlier this year by wwe.

HBK is a better performer but Hart was a much better wrestler.

hbk any day bret had a big head and he througth the wwe was build around him, and everone got sick of it, thank god hbk change it
