Does anyone know how to retrieve JUST the user ID?

As the ID would be the same as your e-mail account name, see if one of your friends has the e-mail address in their address book.

If you can't remember the address, you've lost it forever unless you added someone, or emailed someone and you remember theirs, maybe they could tell you?

The userid is your email account. You could have one of your friends look in their address book for you.
