This is a hard question to answer. If we're just talking about rock guitarists, I have to say Dimebag but there are so many guitarists out there to choose from. SRV, Phil Keaggy, Steve Vai, Derek Trucks, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Page, Clapton, Jimi, Robert Cray, Joe Satriani, John Mayer, Prince(yes, prince), Zach Wylde.....plus a bunch of people no one has really heard of. Too close to call.
