Mars has only a very thin atmosphere that is all poisonous carbon dioxide. The low temperature and pressure of the air makes it impossible for water to exist in pools or streams on the surface. It would be quickly freeze dried away. Deadly radiation from space constantly hits the ground because Mars has no magnetic field or ozone layer to stop it. How could life as we know it exist in such conditions?
