NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio -- North College Hill police are looking for three men who robbed a pair of Boy Scouts and their fathers late Monday.

The Boy Scouts, age 13 and 11, were selling Christmas trees in the parking lot of Tom's Drive Thru on West Galbraith Road shortly before closing at 9 p.m. when the men approached, one carrying a sawed-off shotgun, TV station WLWT reported.

"I was hit in the cheek, once in the ear and once when they knocked me down. My head hit the blacktop. My son got hit in the cheek and the other gentleman got hit a couple times in the face," John Hancock said.

Police said the men took about $300 from the Scouts. The tree sale is a fundraiser for their troop.

"I don't care what they did to me. But because they had the audacity to point a gun and attack the children, these people need to be put away. As far as I'm concerned, they should be dead," Hancock said.

No one was seriously hurt.

The three men were last seen fleeing the area on foot. A police dog tracked them for a time, but lost the scent.

A business owner has offered to replace the boys' money.

I realize these things happen daily. I have been a victim of a holiday crime myself. But the fact that it happened to "children" whom were rasing money, irritated me.
Just thought I'd share and get people thinking.

Not to belittle this situation, but do some investigating. THis kind of stuff happens every day. Yes it is sad and terrible. Yes they should be locked up. The justice system in very backed up and not very effective. The courts are so limited by protecting the rights of the defendent, that the rights of the victims are overlooked. The justice system in general needs new blood, new legislaton, new jails, more probation, more counselors, and that takes MONEY. No one wants to put money into rehabilitation or corrections. I think we should seriously go back to the days of public punishments. I recently drove by inmates picking up trash, they had on bright orange vests that read : "I am a drunk driver". Well great, does not negate the fact they could have killed little kids or a grandmother or my family member. Makes me sick!!! The criminals in your story should just be taken to a field ......I should stop now. This may become politically incorrect. I can only hope that what man's law wont punish, may God's law or karma will take care of it. I do believe that everything comes back to you. Hopefully they will get this back tenfold.

Criminals that know that in today's society their punishment will be minimal if anything.

Props to liberals who have turned the criminal into the "victim", plea bargains and all that other nonsense that has polluted our "justice" system. Great Job Libs!

It's not just in Ohio..
Just another stupid, mean creep.. they disrespect anyone if they can get their drug money together.. they hit little old people for the few pennies in their pocket. I lived in Oakland, CA for the first 21 years of my life I wouldn't go back to that place if you paid me to live there!
