I think it depends, I know people who would think so though. I guess they think the government is the epitome of perfection or something.

I dont think that just because it is illegal it is bad. I dont think that smoking weed is bad at all. I dont smoke it but i have no problem with people who do smoke it. Its definitly not as bad as alcohol.

Not necessarily. Laws are made because people found a problem with particular actions and felt a need to reign them in. However, some laws work well for some people, yet hinder others.
Take the legalize marijuana argument. Marijuana use is illegal in most areas because of its addictive tendencies and the way some people behave when they are influenced by the drug.
However,it has been proven to have medicinal values that cannot be duplicated by another herb or synthetic drugs.
I personally think it's stupid that people want to waste their lives away by getting stoned, but I sympathize with a 70 year old lady who just wants a little relief from the effects of chemotherapy so she takes a puff.
The act of a broken law alone is not bad. It's the intention behind why the law was broken that determines whether something bad has happened.

Not always. Laws aren't perfect. Not too long ago it was illegal for whites and blacks to inter-marry. Just because it was illegal it doesn't mean it's wrong. We need to do away with ridiculous laws like that and always question the system.
