Do you really need a 20 gb hard drive for the xbox 360 if you are only going to play guitar hero 3 and halo 3 with xbox live. Is it a must have to play or do you dont really need it.

Thanks

You need, I repeat NEED to have a hd (either 20 or 120 gb) to play online with the 360. Unfortunately there's no way around it.

You CAN play online without a hard drive as long as you have a memory unit..

However, both Halo 3 and Guitar Hero 3 have downloadable content.. when you start downloading map packs and additional song packs you will very quickly exceed the capacity of your memory unit.. so the hard drive is really the way to go..

Good luck..

Right now you are only going to play those games. Don't forget there will be other things coming later you will probaly want. Do yourself a favor and get the 20 GB HD. You will be able to download new maps and songs, save the replay of your Halo matches, etc. It will also let you download free demos of other games and a lot more.

you can play on live without a hard drive if you want, but for the cost of the memory modules, the hard drive is a much better value. Just suck it up and get a console with at least the 20GB drive or buy the drive if you already have an arcade or core console.
