Rub the blade at an angle of about 60degrees on some fine emery cloth or sand paper.

Most good hardware shops will be able to sell you a diamond sharpening stone, this will do the trick. The problem with Swiss Army Knifes is they are made of stainless steel, not carbon steel. The latter will hold an edge for longer and you will be able to make it sharper but it will rust.

Sporting goods stores and even department stores have small, affordable and easy to use sharpeners that have the angles already set and all you have to do is pull the knife through it a bunch of times to get a good sharp edge.

I use a diamond steel myself, but have one with the set angles for my kitchen so my wife doesn't change the angle of those knives when she tries to sharpen them. Works great.

You really need an electric grinder to do it properly but you can also do it by hand with emery cloth or wet and dry abrasive paper wrapped around a file or by sticking the paper to a block and rubbing the knife over it to sharpen. Do not try sand paper it will not work, I also use an abrasive block that I bought on Ebay for sharpening chisels
