Anything by Margaret Atwood is really good, especially The Handmaid's Tale, Alias Grace and Surfacing. Also, since you've read Enduring Love, you might also enjoy other books by Ian McEwan, such as Atonement and Amsterdam. Michael Ondaatje is a good contemporary writer too. His best novel is In the Skin Of A Lion. Hope this helped!

I'm currently reading two books: "The Singin' Gatherin'" by Jean Thomas, which is a book from 1939 about Appalachian folk music.

I'm also reading Elizabeth Gilbert's, "Eat, Pray, Love," which about the way she comes to terms with some of the pain and problems she experienced. It's set in Italy, India, and Bali, and so far, it's pretty good.

The most recent book I read was the Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connell. It was an entertaining book about a defense attorney who gets involved in an interesting case. I finished reading it last week, and am looking for another novel to read.

I enjoyed the Historian. Another one that blew me away was Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks.

Right now I'm slowly making my way through Mathematics for the non-Mathematician by Morris Kline.
