I personally think Evolution is real but God controls it, but the president has no bearing on this rally so what difference does it make. Darwin only partly got it right, he and science are missing big pieces of the story, but its ok we will all find out the rest of the story one day.

sounds thought out and non-aggressive. he is right on all counts best i can tell. i also believe in evolution to the point that things have evolved but i do not believe we came from some ape or primortial muck. good answer. and remember, scientific consenus said the world was flat. neither side of the debate has final, overwhelming proof. i'll take my chances with GOD

Huckabee's answer is his thought out, researched belief. I don't think evolution has much to do with the Presidency, except for the issue of funding science programs. But, he has calmed those fears by speaking highly about NASA, so scientist, have no fear about huckabee. He is a great candidate and has won over my vote because of his record, his vision, and his optimism.

I believe you are absolutely correct on your own observations about our origins!
In saying that...Huck is a known quantity, people know he's some kind of minister and believes the Bible.

It matters...and makes a big difference to people, religious or not, that want the President of the US to have strong core moral and family values about right and wrong, and the character to decisively uses those beliefs when making important decisions on how we run and protect this country!

It doesn't matter to me very much. If he has faith and believes in a Creator, so be it. As long as it doesn't affect his job performance. Also, he didn't discount the Theory of Evolution completely. His full answer was that it could very well be the way that God works, through evolution, to create species.

It makes a big difference. Do you really want a president who doesn't accept scientific theories? What if he decided that he doesn't accept germ theory? They might try to stop vaccines in this country. What if he decides that he doesn't accept gravity? What about cell theory?
