I use MixMap trackers for my other web sites, but I can't figure out how to insert the tracker code using HTML onto Blogspot. Is anyone good at using Blogspot? I'm pretty much in the dark!

Okie dokie.

- In dashboard, go to "Template."
- Do a search for ""
- Go to the last part of the code, it'll be before "

"
- If you want a heading for the tracker, put in "", hit space and then paste the code for the tracker.
- Click on "Preview" to make sure it looks right and then click "Save Template Changes."

I don't know about mixmap...does it try to write a file to the server that's holding the web page (like, say, blogger's server?) You need to find out! If so, no dice!

http://www.statcounter.com doesn't. You can use it by, simply, going into the blogger layout (assuming you're using the "new" or "beta" (are they still calling it that?) Layout and adding an html section to your layout, and then copying the statcounter (or your mixmap html?) into the new html section.

Perhaps you'd want to add, around it, a

or a

with style=" ..." stuff to give it border or centering or background-color or font characteristics or ... whatever.

At any rate, you can add an HTML section anywhere in the Layout, or, if you want to get EXTREME about it, you can get down and dirty, and edit the entire page's HTML and diddle Google's "widget" language and put it EXACTLY where you want it! (They have help files for that, too!)
