True story, a friend of mine from Texas would brag about how everything was so big down there. As a matter of fact, he said his property was so big, that he would get into his car at dawn and drive all day long, and just before sunset, he would reach the end of his property.
I looked at him and after a suitable pause, I said: "You know, I had a car like that once."
He stopped bragging for a bit after that one.

An Alaskan and a Texan were talking. The Alaskan said, " Well, you know they say, everything is bigger in Texas, but Alaska is BIGGER than Texas. What do you think?" The Texan said, "Not if ever thaws out." On the other hand, if everything is bigger there, I certainly will NOT EVER go there !

You actually made me laugh out loud that time. Lots of things are bigger in Texas: cars, SUVs, houses (McMansions), hair, waistlines, and egos. As for the "property" down there - I don't think so. Isn't it usually the case that those who have something to prove are the ones that talk about things the most?!?
