Don't believe everything you read here. Some folks are brainwashed into thinking that conventional medicine is the only way to get well. Of course, that's not only narrow minded, it's utterly ridiculous. Personally, I don't understand Homeopathy, but many say it works. Whether it's a power of the mind issue, or it really does work, is of no particular concern to me. I agree with the first answerer... alternative medicine is focused on giving the body what it needs to heal itself. Conventional medicine is focused primarily on giving out drugs that reduce symptoms and cure nothing.

The Homeopathic doctor I have is one most of you know (Soul Doctor). I have found no other doctor who has taken the time to do what it takes to make me well. The others sent me home to die. I almost did until he answered my question on this forum. I had nothing to lose, so I ordered the remedies he recommended. Exactly as he said, in three days after I started taking remedies, I started feeling better. For those of you who have not heard my history, I was dying from end stage liver disease. I do not know about what others think but I would call that VERY serious. I did not have a thought of seeing Christmas but thanks to Soul Doctor and Homeopathic remedies, I am outside decorating. Friends, family, and even my doctor noticed the changes.

Do you know queen of england has a homeopath as a
royal physician - no doubt she has survived and in good
health too. What would have been her fate if she had an
allopathic doctor as a royal physician. Probably she would
be dead by now. Don't let this nerd above me influence you.
He is a paid agent of the drug industry. I call him allopathy
quack - that name aptly suits the ignorant uneducated person
like him. He may even get this answer reported and ban it
but please do not doubt efficacy of homeo doctors and
their remedies. Good luck and God bless you. Cheers! :o)

Homeopathy remedies are so good at working they have been used by millions of people for thousands of years in dozens of countries without any side effects or deaths.
Pharmaceutical remedies that are relatively new and cause thousands of side effects and deaths to the point that many of them are discontinued after a few years of 'very careful research'
~Homeopathy remedies cure the ailment eliminating the symptoms.
~Pharmaceuticals mask the symptoms and do nothing for the ailment there fore creating a dependancy that makes the drug companies rich.
~Homeopathy doesn't make thousands of doctors and business men rich while they try to make you feel better.
~Pharmaceuticals account for 1/6th the national economy with not much of a healing track record.
~Homeopathy remedies are made from products found in nature which the body readily absorbs and have been used for curing people for thousands of years.
~Pharmaceuticals are created in labs from ingredients the body does not recognize, killing and hurting millions of people for hundreds of years.
The proof is in the results.... I think.

In general homoeopathic quacks range from merely useless (though if you have some excess money you want to get rid of they'll happily take it from you) to directly harmful (especially if you've got a serious condition and they aren't referring you to a real doctor).
Their remedies will probably work if what you're suffering from is psychosomatic but they can't treat anything real (well all they use is distilled water prepared in a really funny way).

they must work
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences..June 1999
"...successive dilutions and succussions may alter permanently the physical-chemical properties of the solvent water. The phenomena remains unexplained, but significant results are obtained"
the medical journal Rheumatology reports that "Improved clinical status in fibromyalgia patients treated with individual homeopathic remedies verses placebo"
remedies are not plain water.
for accuracy on quackwatch see below
Edit
Poor Kalos, cannot find the article. Mr.Computer,
Yes, I quote the article, almost as much as you quote the court discredited Barrett at quackwatch.
If you want more try
Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, back in 1994 or '92 and put your twist of fact on them.
Rheumatology 20046; 43(5) 577-82. that one even gives you the page number, Mr Research and as all such papers it ends with the statement that "more research needs to be done"
European Journal of Pharmacology April 1987
effect on immune function of mice (basic research not meta-analysis )
I'm certain there are more but there is little money to be made by our coin operated health care system so ther is little motivation to do research in this low cost system of effective care
Yep, bottom of the barrel
Academy of the New York academy of Sciences
Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology
EuropeanJournal of Pharmacology
medical journal Rheumatology
these scientists just can't know nearly as much as a psychiarist who amitted in court tha he couldn't pass his Board exams and has lost 40 lawsuits filed against AltMed companies and practioners

My friend's Mom is one, and she has many success stories. I think herbal remedies are definitely something to consider before medications and western methods. But some things don't work for certain people.

Man I bet she's sorry she asked this question.
Try it and judge for yourself.
I wouldn't expect it to cure any life-threatening disease though, but they could hardly do a worse job than conventional medicine is doing with many conditions.

As far as I know they use steroids which cure you for the time being but they reduce your immunity to diseases. On the other hand alopethic treatment is based on a different principle but it also has its chemical complexities, benefitting the patient on one hand and causing some side effect on the other. the best treat is herbal tratment which is more natural.
