I read how one Democrat Congressional staffer said that Pelosi is going to be furious at Murtha for saying the surge might be working after all.
They've pinned their star to American defeat and humiliation in Iraq, simply because it would be a defeat for Bush, and the good news spells doom for them.

They spin it because if Iraq starts working out then all they said would be wrong. Just like when Murtha was reported as saying he thinks the surge is working a press release was put out "clarifying" what he meant so it didn't seem like he thought it was actually working. The Democrats have a vested interest in the failure of Iraq and are scrambling to keep the notion of that happening going. Isn't it funny we don't hear comparisons with Vietnam as much as we used to?

Perhaps the Democrats can take a page from the Bush white house, and, completely make up facts and deceive the public. Why bother with facts about going to war if it feels good!

The so-called liberals should remember one thing before they start spouting their crap: If it weren't for people like me (a conservative American), you wouldn't be able to openly spout your crap------except maybe in a concentration camp. Why you're trying to give away my country, I'll never understand.

The US voters have figured it out. Why do you think all of the candidates are trying to distance themselves from Bush and Iraq?
