I work with this woman who is very dramatic and self important but to make work life smooth I act like she's interesting and I enjoy talking to her. HR and most of the staff complain about her negativity, loud mouth and rudeness but since I have to work closely with her, I'm a temp she's an employee, I pretend I actually care. How about you? Who do you pretend to like to make your life easier?

When she's getting all looney about her pencil not being sharpened, or her hair falling out due to irrational stress, or her computer screen saver having green tubes instead of pink, or her coffee having one granule less of sugar than it usually does, or her workload being more than expected, or her husband refusing to drive 10 miles at midnight to go buy her special nail polish that she must have for work, just tell her to relax and ask herself why the situation is bothering her so much.
If she just flips out even more or says "the situation isn't bothering me, it's just that blah blah blah," smack her.

I pretend to like everyone. It seems that everyone seems to have something about them that I don't like, so at one point or another, I will have to pretend to act interested or like them. I guess this is what people call two faced, but I honestly feel that pretty much everyone has at least ONE thing about someone that they don't like, so they "pretend" to like them.

My x inlaws. Because they are the grandparents of my kids, I kill them with kindness. I really don't like them at all.
