China seems to have no problems saying "no parking" here to US war ships -
Bush is acuseing Putin of the same election fraud's and so on he himself has been acused of Difference being that the dissent in Russia is front page news but in the US - page 44 nut bar protestor arrested mentally ill
The number one terrorist in the universe Bin Laden is no longer a US priority and is free to make tapes for European leaders - hmmm - a 50 million dollar price tag on his head the US spy satilites inteligence community and armed forces couldn't find him so they just gave up and invaded Iraq ?
Bomb Afganistan we heard he was there - And if he isn't or lives through this we give up and go kick Sadam Hussien's a-s-s- ??????
Iraq which is killing US soldiers and costs 400 million per day - A private "security firm" has been charged with murder - Allegation of torture but Linsey English acted all alone
In a military prison where no one is ever left alone and a soldier can't do a thing without every other solider knowing on base acted all by herself with no command ever once being in on it or allowing it ?
Then a President who said yeah but thats not torture ----- so stop worrying and lets move on - But at the same time passing a retro active law protecting the CIA for prosecution of crimes against humanity such as torture - "Retro active" !
Putin has openly told the US to keep it's snotty nose out of Russian elections
The Canadian dollar was worth more than the US dollar because oil prices rose to all time highes - and compare to the Euro (that socialist union) at just less than twice the US dollar -

The US has been completely frustrated by Russia and China who veto sanctions on Iran as too punitive
The news reported that some Generals might quit rather that invade Iran other Generals have said that Iraq is a disaster
Oh well -
The US is loseing it's place in the world and I take no satisfaction in that - As former Prime Minister Trudeau said living beside the US is rather like a mouse sleeping beside an Elephant - It doesn't matter how friendly or gentle the beast may be but one is subject to it's every sneeze and twich
One see's the problem of the US loseing it's place in the world for me inparticular

humanist, you and i both see the storm hitting the rocks and sweeping them into the surf taking the sea wall away.
while i'm not sure i would call the current administration the cabal, we were talking about this today at work. while i actually like bush, i have no clue as to why he is letting things happen the way they are. it is as if no one is at home. i speculate that the damage is done and he is trying to slow the disintegration
i don't know. we have open warfare on our southern boarder and no one seems to be aware of it or they don't care. we are over run with hostile gangs and home grown terrorist like mcvey.
as for losing prestige in the world, yes, that is happening but i'm not aware of just how fast. there are not any world leaders that anyone i know of looks to.
in the movie independance day, they world waited for america to lead the way. but at our current rate of degrade and fade, there will be nothing of substance to lead a group of goats let a lone nations of hopeless people.

What "jingoism"?
There is more strident political dogma being spewed by the left than on the right. And it's based on some bizarre anti-American idiocy.
Such as calling the Bush administration a "cabal". Good grief! Grow the hell up.

Even worse. Jingoism allows you to create your own, alternate truth. Is there any wonder that the Bush administration has expressed disdain for those in the "reality based community."

No, but it helps you to swallow the lies easier if you believe in a militaristic foreign policy.
