As we get older?

definately more... especially where my son and the rest of my family is concerned - losing my dad was a real eye opener for me in so many ways... so yes, i care a great deal more these days

I think we care more about certain issues such as our own mortality, the safety of our loved ones, if our money is going to stretch until we die etc. But we care less about what people think about us, whether or not we pass wind in public etc. All the small stuff seems less important as we age, and more and more stuff falls into the small stuff category.

My boyfriend and I are both 56, and we were just talking about this today. We both think we care less about most stuff as we get older...what people think, what the latest styles are, etc

I love being around people in their 70's and 80's. They have lived long enough to not give a damn what other folks might think. They have earned that right. The older you get the less peer pressure there is. If you live long enough you have no peers.

So as I mature, I care more.
