hello, you can actually go to almost all blocked websites by using a proxy. all you need to do is type www.jeepsia.com and it will lead you to a page with a search engine that can lead you to almost all websites without being blocked by a firewall. you can also try to use www.tigerhorn.com or www.kproxy.com. The catch is, there'd be pop-ups you'd need to close from time to time. Don't worry they're harmless. ü

It really depends on what is blocking certain sites.

If it's a program installed on you r computer (like net nanny), then mostly sites of a sexual nature are blocked, and any sites that the net nanny administrator has chosen to add to the list.

If it's an organization (e.g. school or work), it's probably a custom list that the school uses, and possibly a software firewall. In general, work places might block online shopping sites, and sites with sexual content. Schools will generally block sites with sexual content, web email sites (gmail, hotmail, mail.yahoo.com, etc.), online shopping sites, online games sites, and chatting sites.

Search Engines are a great tool, like google.com and yahoo.com. since they allow you to search for what you want. You can then select the different search results till you find one that is not blocked.

Hope that helps.

Additional info:
proxy sites can be really good, except that if you're doing it at a school or a workplace, it can result in you getting in a lot of trouble. I wouldn't recommend it.

Google caches most pages, and looking at a cached page is almost as good as using a proxy, but is less likely to raise any warning flags to your boss/teacher/principal.

What determines the sites that are blocked is a "firewall" that is on the computer network you are using. That firewall is configured by the network's administrator. So every network is going to be different.

A list of what sites I can (and can not) reach from my company will be useless in any other company, school, etc.

What you can and can not reach is unique to the network you are currently using.

Sorry proxies are blocked for security and safety reasons if
you bypass and circumvent your schools security you could
get suspended or in trouble with the law.

Please quit while your ahead and just do your school work.
