HI,
I have an Angel Fish that has been acting completely normal but when I turned on the light this morning he was laying on the bottom of the tank sideways, almost upside down. I have 1 other angel fish, 2 barbs, a sucker and 2 snails who are all doing fine. Please Help me. Is there any hope for my little guy and WHAT can I do?? The water quality is in good condition and I don't know what caused this. I love my little guy dearly, so any help would be GREATLY Appreciated.
p.s. The two angel fish have been together for over 6 months and fight occasionally but this never seemed to bother them before. (They are in a 10 gallon tank.) THANKS AGAIN!!

ok, quickly!! Scoot him through the swater (head on) quickly several times to get the oxygen (through the water) into him to stimulate his lungs.

Seriously this works, they always tell you to do this with goldfish.

When my sister fish did this, the pet shop said it was the swim bladder and gace her stuff to put in the water.

Good luck!!!

ps: in this website there is something about angelfish and amonia problems adn reviving them:

Awww I'm so sorry. My dad has a 55 or 50 gallon tank and I see his fish do that ocassionally. Its so sad! But I don't think there is anything you can do about it. It would probably be to late now. Maybe it just has some kind of sickness and might go away or sometimes it has some kind of disease but its gotten much worse. Check and see if there is anything wrong with its body ya know like the tail is bitten or stuff by its eyes. Good luck with the others though.

it might be too late, but get a small hospital tank. Swish it through the water, like one poster suggested. Give it a fresh dose of medicine from the pet store.
At least this will prevent getting the rest of your fish sick.
Angel fish need a lot of water. They need depth. Way over a gallon for each one. YOu might do better with a 20 gal.tank.
I love angel fish too, sorry.

it probable has a thing called swim bladder because my 2 fishes had it just get some drops for the water from the local fish/pet shop and put it into the tank and it ask like a antibiotic in the water so the fish swims in it and driinks it

you need to isolate the angel fish and treat the water also for any diseases....unfortuantely there is no quick fix so after you have done that all ya can do is hope it pulls through, your aquatics will help you find the right solution on what to buy.

Get them a bigger tank, they can be aggressive and need more territory. Also check the PH, etc. I think angels like it a bit alkaline, but its been a while, so ask the pet shop!

Tropical fish are not very hardy animals. They die frequently and often for no reason that you can determine. If you get this emotionally attached to your pet then maybe fish are not the best pet for you.

get him out quick!!! if he's dying, he's producing a lot of ammonia which is going to kill your other fish!

angel fish are hard fish to keep sometimes, so just get him out of there before you kill them all. if you have it, put him in a quarantine tank

I think you should put him in a seperate tank cos he might be sick and he will pass it to the other fish.
