I don't really celebrate my Birthday -- but when you pass the half century mark ... were a Long Term Single Parent ... (now an Empty-Nesting Retiree) .. you really do NOT want to know the number of years gone by!
Other than taking MYSELF out to dinner on my birthday -- All I really do to 'celebrate' is to call my siblings on my birthday -- and just talk. I don't need THINGS ... I don't need parties -- I just WANT and NEED PEACE and QUIET (for I also survived a short disaster of a marriage to an abusive, violent sociopath).

Me and my boyfriend's birthdays are only a week apart, so we usually throw a party at a club for the both of us. We inivite all of our friends and it's really fun.
