the info says I can brag about having so many points, i thought we had some benefit with points? Anyone else think its a bit of a rort?

I do it because i like to be useful and like to meet friends and that's a good thing. Im happy enough with that. Even so I should be able to use the points for something, even for a charity donation, yahoo makes money from the site so why not?

I think since I suddenly became "top contributor" I can report a question and it is deleted right away now. Not 100% sure of that.

As an internet product manager, I would say it is still early in the era of YA, and there are lots of things in the future you might be able to do with your points that jut haven't been implemented yet.

I'd like to see that if you have more points, then you can select to filter out the ridiculous questions that you never have answered before or that you have answered a million times already :)

You can't transfer points to someone else, so how would you possibly sell them?

Why would somebody buy your points? They are nothing but a status symbol. Ya, there are different posting privileges at different levels, but once you get off the bottom couple of levels it either doesn't matter or you are spending way too much time on Y!A.

I don't think you can sell them. The benefit is you get to ask more questions with more points. That's about it.

Since they don't transfer, buying them would be kind of silly.
