I am a registered Republican and believe this is simply war propoganda. Remember, 35% of republicans disagree with the war, and this continuation of war on terror too.

I'll try, but today's liberal minds are already made up.

Iran, did not stop it's nuclear program as your question suggests. It stopped it's efforts to make a NUCLEAR BOMB 4 years ago. Why this is dangerous, is the fact that they were making a nuclear bomb when they said that their nuclear technology was being used for energy. Are we to believe now that they are pushing ahead for energy, or are they actually are working to complete what we have now found evidence of.

I didn't read the article with a fine toothed comb, but I'll try to explain it to you.

"To me, the NIE (National Intelligence Estimate) provides an opportunity for us to rally the international community — to continue to rally the community — to pressure the Iranian regime to suspend its program," the president said. "What's to say they couldn't start another covert nuclear weapons program." - Bush

Bush isn't saying that Iran is MORE dangerous than we previously thought; he is saying that they STILL are a danger, and we can't necessarily say that things are fine and rosy just because of this report.

It's sort of like saying that it a Level 3 sex offender moves into your neighborhood, you'd probably still think he's a threat even if you got a report from his psychologist said he was ok. As Reagan once said, "Trust, but verify."

This proves they have a nuclear program and were using it to produce weapons. Although they are not right now, they can easily begin to produce again. We must eliminate this problem once and for all. A terrorist nation can not be allowed to threaten the world.

Iran never had a nuclear weapons program, but see how easily Bush now has convinced many they had!

Maybe they bought a few nuclear warheads from China, instead... heck, you can get a 10 megaton hydrogen bomb for mere pennies on the dollar when it is made by 12 year olds...

I can explain it to you, How many did they build before suspending production, how many are currently aimed at the US and our Allies. Building Nukes is only dangerous for them until they are completed and then they are more dangerous to others.

gotta keep up the rhetoric, so the wall street investors see a potential threat to worldwide oil supply, and keep pushing those oil prices up.
