For about 3 months now, I've had an on again/ off again pain near my right ovary. I thought the pain may be related to my appendix, but a nurse told me the area I showed her was more near my right ovary. It comes for a day or two, then goes for about 3 days, then come backs, with no rhyme or reason as far as my cycle is concerned (ovulation, period). My periods are still pretty regular, exept the last one came a week early, which was probably caused by some recent stress. The pain is most intense when standing, and is very sharp, often going from the front all the way to my back. Any info can help. BTW, I can't see the OB until January, when I finally have insurance...Thanks

You could have a cyst on your ovary or you could be suffering from endometriosis, possibly. If you have any sudden pain that won't go away, you need to go to the ER (insurance or not) as the if it is a cyst, it could possibly rupture. Good Luck!

You need to run a few blood test, because pain over your uterus is just basic period cramps, however, since it's over an ovary, you may have something wrong with it, you should run some blood test and get proper scans, you don't know what it may be, or what it can develop to.

Sounds to me like a cyst. Very common. But you should see the gynecologist about it. Make the appointment now, so you can go in early in January and get this answered.

we have pain for a reason. it tells us when something is wrong with our body. first, take a pregnancy test to make sure this is not a tubal pregnancy. then, decide if you want to go to clinic with sliding scale fees. is this pain impeding your everyday life? can you go to work and do the things you usually do? why do you not have insurance unti january?
