You are correct! After Tom Brady's second season he was a free agent, he was young and had won a superbowl. He could have been the highest paid player in NFL history, but he's smart enough to know that without salary cap room, he can't get receivers, a line, and a defense. He's the greatest football player of all time. He made Visa include his o-line in a commercial. He's on a totally different plane than any other quarterback.

Hmmmm. How can I not priase and respect Tom Brady?
That's easy.
He went to U of M.

Oh. And then there's the whole child-out-of-wedlock thing that I cannot respect. I only have kudos for players who are great people on and OFF the field.

I respect him totally on the field but I don't feel the need to praise him. Praise and respect don't have to go hand-in-hand. Manning also signed for less money than he could have gotten elsewhere, which led to him keeping some of HIS top receivers as well. And lots of other players have stayed with their one team their whole careers. I respect that as well. But he's not really an anomoly by the standard you've presented

Praise and respect of pro players is earned on AND off the field and off the field Brady is a slime bag.

Just because I hate the new England Patriots doesn't mean I don't respect them. I'm just not a fan and I'd rather have Tony Romo on my team than Tom Brady any day.

i respect his football playing talent.
and that's it.
and I am NOT praising him for anything.
whiny pretty-boy, stuck up crybaby ...
blech.
If my team needed a new QB I'd take Rex Grossman over Brady just because there is no way I could cheer for my team if Tom Brady was on it.
eew.

"he also is having children out of marriage and sleeping around with several women at once. great footballer, sort of low on the morals chart. terry bradshaw, best ever."

You do realize Bradshaw has been divorced like 3 or 4 time right? Seems Terry isn't the moral pillar you try to make him out to be.

It helps to think before you speak.

Forget what he does on the field have you seen the women he's slept with. My hats off to ya Tom. I'm a Steeler fan and I hate the Pats but DUDE, NICE!

I pray to him every night before I go to bed.

Well I either just lied or honored a false God, so those commandments aren't looking to good for me right now... I think that is an incredibly smart decision on his part, if it is true and you aren't yanking my chain. The money that would sign better players will win him Superbowls. He will roll in the cash after each one of those. I probably wouldn't do it though. Doesn't he have child support to pay though?
