We will still be a super power and a leader in the world but i do not think we will be the top superpower. There will still be the big Three of the USA , Russia and China but in fifty years China will be Top Dog. They will have the largest economic impact and will control trade and politics in their sphere of influence. Too big of population to big of military too much money for the USA or Russia to stand up to. Id say best be ready for the RED DAWN its coming! [course by then im hopin and prayin they are more democratic in their ideology!!!]

Yes...
1. Size: We have one of the largest markets in the world. Almost everyone in the world wants access to our markets.
2. Military might: We still field the most powerful military on Earth. That will not change unless we want it to.
3. Standard of living: Even though the deficit is a drain on this, we still have a high standard of living and are able to attract some of the brightest from other countries as well as our own.
Even though we have some serious challenges to our leadership and may not be the primier power on Earth, we'll still be okay in 50 years, barring anything completely unforseen.

As long as the United States maintains it's economic advantage. With the rise of China this could be hard but far from impossible. The economic advantage directly relates to how large and advanced a military you can have.

Yes, we have the best of everything. At one point in the future the US will fall but it's not going to be any time soon and 50 years is way too soon.

No. We are NOT the world leader anymore. We are the world's private ATM. When the money dries up, the U S is history and it is getting close. Look at the congress. New leadership and they can get NOTHING done. Look at the president. Nothing (No Power) there either. No one listens to or helps the U S . We are history in the present.
