Ok. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and keep up with Harry Potter news. The actor is NOT gay. NO NO NO. JK Rowling (the author) came out and said that the CHARACTER in the book is gay. Not Michael Gambon. In fact, I read an artice that said after he found out the character he was going to be playing was gay, he almost didn't take the roll again. He accepted the roll for Half Blood Prince but is not taking any interviews at this point. So NO, he is not gay, the character he will be playing is gay. And I would like to know what this guy is talking about that he tried to act gay in Order of the Phoenix when this news of Dumbledore being gay didn't come about til after the movie was made...

If you're talking about the latest Harry Potter movie yet to be released, I don't think Dumbeldore will be gay then. I think he will be coming out in the last movie, just like he did in the last book.

no, the character in the book is gay, but i seriously doubt it will change the horrible job Michael Gambon is doing playing the part of Dumbledore at all. He will still seem the same as always.
At no time will Dumbledore ' come out ' we were meant to assume he has always been gay, it is not a necessary story point and will not be focused on.

I think that the whole dumbeldor gay thing is just a way to sell more books and or movies! Controversy sells!

I dont know if the actor Michael Gambon is gay, but JK Rowling said that the CHARACTER in the book is gay, not the actor.

Michael Gambon tries to bring Dumbledore off as gay in the fifth movie.But I personally think he does a horrible job of it.By the way,if you read the book carefully you will notice the way J.K makes Dumbledore act and speak is kinda gay.Even from the first book.

I think it was the first actor portraying Dumbledore who was supposed to be gay. I'm not sure, however, just my spotty memory says so.
