Recently, I was wearing a strong magnetic earing, which caused some of my skin to peel off and turn flaky and a bit scabby. I removed this and had a slight dent in my ear lobe. Now, I have left it alone and a new scab is forming which I haven't touched. Should this now not leave a scar?

Also, I wore the same style of earing before which had a smaller magnet connected and my ear was fine, however with this earing which has a larger magnet, my ear has been hurting a lot more and has resulted in this.

I'd just gently wash it with anti bacterial soap, put a little bacitracin or neosporin on it, and leave it alone. If you scrub the scab off, you will have more chance of leaving a scar.
Hope this helps.

It should be fine, as a precaution you should apply some triple antibiotic ointment to the area, most important is not to pick at the scab, let ti heal and fall off on its own.

It was obviously infected. You may have been having an allergic reaction to the metal in the earrings. Try wearing only real silver or real gold. This should keep your ears infection free in the future. Until then dab on some alcohol.

Don't let the scab remain in tact for two long. pick it off before you go to bed at night and again when you wake up in the morning. If you are diligent, you will be able to keep this healing process continuing for about 8 or 9 days. I also suggest saving the scabs in a small dish. These can later be used as a salad topping.

Peroxide it and keep neosporin on it. Vitamin E will not help prevent infection, use the neosporin.... Neosporin will prevent scarring on such a minor skin irritation. It will go away in about a week. You probably had an allergic reaction to that type of metal.

It shouldn't leave a scar if you leave it alone. You must have been allergic to the metal.

I would take it to the Doctor about it and don't wear anymore earings anymore, if I were you.
