i was inferring that cons marry for conformity, it was a passive poke at another answerer who did not answer...

I think most people marry for both reasons ...my first marrage was because she had a cleaner apartment than mine.

Although I know she loved my father very much, I also suspect my mother did take security into consideration as well. She didn't work outside the home by the time I came along, which made me very determined to have my security independently. As it turned out... I never been married because I'm lousy at love, so it's a good thing I took 'independent security' seriously early on... at my age, I certainly don't have the patience now to marry for security! :-)

Since you are so good at lumping people into a group, I guess it is fair to say that Libs marry and stayed married for political gain...hence the example set forth by Hillary and Bill...I see your Larry Craig with Gerry Studds, you know having sex with under age males is ok if you are a Democrat, and raise you the Democrat employee that wanted to have sex with a 13 year old boy (check www.thesmokinggun.com for info)...
