Is Ron Paul running yet? I haven't seen anything from him and assume he pulled out already.

As was said, Ron Paul is the only true conservative competing for the Republican nomination. A true conservative supports smaller government with less spending and lower taxes and to keep our noses out of other nation's business.
All the others are neoconservatives. While it has become very popular to toss around terms like neoconservative and neocon, very few know what it really means. A neoconservative is basically a classical liberal who wants lower taxes. You should notice that the modern neoconservative movement originally stemmed from the liberal and socialist ideologies following WWII. They support expanding government, don't seem to mind increasing spending, and believe it is our duty to police the globe and provide humanitarian aid to all.
I personally find it amusing when a liberal uses the term 'neocon' as an insult to a conservative because the neocon ideology is much closer to their own than it is to the conservative idealogy.

Because he was elected into Congress as a republican and has been one for several years.
And btw the Republican party has traditionally held an anti-war/ limited government platform.. Ron Paul is the only true conservative running, this question is more appropriate for the other "republican" contenders

Because he is the only real Republican running. All of the other candidates are neo-conservatives who have abandoned the original principles of the Republican party, Ron Paul has stayed true to those principles.

Because Paul's political platform more closely reflects the true nature and political leaning of the GOP.
Do a little research on people like Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan for confirmation.
