Too many guys answer with what they do, as who they are, as if your job is what makes you who you are. I'm the one that puts the band-aid on your skinned knee, the one that coaches your softball team, the one that teaches you how to drive your first car, the one that will take you to the prom when your date doesn't show up, the one that will tell your mom for you that you're pregnant, I'm the one that will give you away on that very special day when even I will cry. Thats who I am.

Depends on the situation. It doesn't actually happen that often, usually only when I'm out with someone, they run into a person they know, start chatting, fail to introduce me, and their friend feels awkward and politely asks "...I'm sorry, I didn't get your name...." Then I tell them my name.
So, it's pretty simple.
