Quartz-
7 mohs scale
color varies ex- amethyst, milky quartz, rose quartz, smoky quartz etc.
luster- glassy to vitreous as crystals
streak- is white
cleavage- very weak in 3 directions (rhombohedral)

Calcite-
3 (only on the basal pinacoidal faces, calcite has a hardness of less than 2.5 and can be scratched by a fingernail).
Streak - white.
Color- varies greatly but generally white w/ hints of color
luster- votreous to resinous to dull in masive forms
cleavage- is perfect in 3 directions, forming rhombohedrons.

Flourite-
Color- extremely variable can be multi-colored.
Luster -is vitreous.
Crystal System: Isometric; 4/m bar 3 2/m
Cleavage is perfect in 4 directions forming octahedrons.
Fracture is irregular and brittle.
Hardness is 4
hardness (harder than calcite, but softer than quartz or apatite)
Streak is white

Willemite- Zn2SiO4, Zinc Silicate
Color- usually colorless or white but can be tinted yellow, blue, red, brown and often green.
Luster is vitreous to resinous.
Transparency crystals are transparent to translucent.
Crystal System: trigonal; bar 3
Cleavage in good in one direction (basal)
Fracture is conchoidal to uneven.
Hardness is 5.5
Streak is white.
Other Characteristics: strongly fluorescent green and sometimes phosphorescent.
