There is an old saying about better the devil you know and perhaps you should bear this in mind before doing anything hasty !!
Sp have a real serious think about what it is you are unhappy with in your current role . Is it possible to discuss with your boss to see if anything can be done to help sort this out
If in the end you are convinced you need to move then make sure you find another , and better job first .
You are going to have to explain at interview why you want to leave the current job , so you need to make sure your responses are positive and valid for any new employer to be convinced you won't walk out on them after training !!
Good Luck

Maybe interview for a higher position in the same job. I know you said you've already progressed but aren't there more levels to reach? If not, I think have another, exciting job pretty much secured before you quit.

Dude, you have got 4 options:-
1. You can go on asking for shoulders to cry on and remain as a 'crying baby'.
2. You can grin and bear it until you get a change for the better.
3. You can look for a suitable opening and switch.
4. You can quit your present job and remain jobless.
Quite obviously, you may choose option no. 2. Am I right?
Good luck!

I have had the same problem. I cant stand my job and feel i am not making the most of my life .
I have had trouble finding another job , but have stuck with it as i dont want to be fully without one .
i suggest sticking with it and look for another .
remember nothing lasts forever .
other alternative is starting your own business .

The same title "technical support job", but different companies have different working environments. You might consider working at another place.

It is a terrible feeling when you don't like your job. Make sure you search for and secure a job you like before leaving your present job. It is easier to find a job when you are currently employed.

Hands up who likes working............. no one it's best avoided at all costs, just do enough to pay the bills then go get hammered or walking in the peak district whatever cheers you up. I personally like wasting a day infront of the PS3 in my pants

Leave. If you're smart enough to have been promoted, you're smart enough to get another job.
Life's too short to spend 8 hours a day doing something you hate.
