Add like terms.

1. (-3x^3-5x^6+5)+(7x^6+7-9x^3) = 2x^6 -12 x^3 +12

2. (7x^2-5x^4+5)+(9x^4+9-3x^2) = 4x^4 + 4x^2 +14

3. (-3x^5+6x) - (-8x-3-2x^5) = -x^5 + 14x +3

4. (2x^3+x-1) - (8x^3-4x-8) = -6x^3 + 5x +7

5. (x^3+9x-2) - (-6x^3-8x-3) = 7x^3 +17x +1

remember you can only add/subtract like terms.

For instance, 3x^2+2x^2 = 5x^2 (both are x^2), but 3x^2+2x^3 can't be added together since the power on x is different. Also, the variable must be the same, so 3x^2+2y^2 can't be simplified either.

Here's the first one:

(-3x^3-5x^6+5)+(7x^6+7-9x^3)

which is -5x^6+7x^6-3x^3-9x^3+5+7

(-5+7)x^6+(-3-9)x^3+(5+7)

2x^6-12x^3+12

you can factor out a two if you want to

2(x^6-6x^3+6)

1. (-3x^3-5x^6+5)+(7x^6+7-9x^3)
=2x^6-12x^3+12

2. (7x^2-5x^4+5)+(9x^4+9-3x^2)
=4x^4+4x^2+14

3. (-3x^5+6x) - (-8x-3-2x^5)
=-x^5+14x+3

4. (2x^3+x-1) - (8x^3-4x-8)
=-6x^3+5x+7

5. (x^3+9x-2) - (-6x^3-8x-3)
=7x^3+17x+1

Just remove parentheses and add like terms for all problems.

Example problem 3:
(-3x^5+6x) - (-8x-3-2x^5)
= -3x^5+6x +8x+3 +2x^5
= -x^5 +14x +3
