limescale is in all kettles but more in some then others
it depends on were you live
and the minerals in the water around your area
but its not poisonous
it actually stops us from being poisoned because it creates a lining around the zinc pipes that water travels through and stops the zinc particles getting into the water

No, eating limescale from your kettle will not harm you. The origin of limescale is from the water you drink in the first place. It is mainly formed of calcium salt crystals. While a small amount may be absorbed in the gut, most of it will simply pass through your digestive system.

It's calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate, and possibly a little magnesium. All of these compounds are found in the water that was originally in the kettle and settled out when the water was heated. Will do absolutely no harm, although there is some evidence that drinking water high in calcium may lead to kidney stones. Not definitive however.

No. It can easily be got rid of from the kettle by using any weak acid, even vinegar. Just looks unsightly and tastes a bit gritty
