I want to hear the voice of the people for a school paper.. and dont give me any crap about how it shouldnt be thats not what the papers about mmkay?

well here we go....if it was legalized,and controlled by the goverment and taxed like tobacco...just think of all the money the government would have to use on things like new schools better roads and alternative fuel sources...important issues.
not to mention all the money that would be saved...yes saved by not having to arrest prosecute and house in jail those who are caught using marijuanna...thus also easing the ulation in our prisons and making room for the more serious criminals.
this also would cut down on crimes that have been related to marijuanna ,both smuggling and selling it and of course those who smoke it.
all this said you should know i am not a smoker ...i quit many many years ago...
and of course you can look at countrys where it is legal ...like holland for example i am noot sure what the statistics are but ill guarantee you they will support the fact that if legal it is not that big an issue..less crime less people in jail more revanue for the state....well there it is my reasons for legalizing it

Well think of how much money the govt. could make off of taxing people who want to buy it, and how much money regular gov. could save by not prosecuting so many minor possession charges. It could also help take the money away from drug dealers, gangs, traffickers. That could help end a lot of street violence.

Yes-I think it should be and have the same restrictions as alcohol and cigerettes because it it kind of in the same class as the other two substances...

I think it should. I think the government should tax it like alcohol. people are not going to stop smoking pot, so we all should benefit. besides there are worse things that are legal
