I'm 16 years old and already have a guitar (my b-day present when i was 14), an mp3/video/camera/ camcorder/games player (2006 Christmas present), my own laptop(it's kinda old though. I'm saving my money for a new one),a cellphone(i pay for that 100%), a palm-sized video camcorder (i also bought this with my own money) and a keyboard (2005 Christmas present). I consider myself very lucky to have all these things, but for Christmas, I've asked for a digital camera, Nintendo Wii video game system (my parents aren't big on video games though), a alarm clock/radio/cd/tape/mp3 hook-ups player for my room, among a whole bunch of small things. If i don't get any of this, I'm not gonna pitch a fit, but prolly just save my money for them like i am doing for my new Macbook (just $1000 to go and it will be all mine). since i have all this stuff, would you consider me to be spoiled? i don't flaunt it everywhere, i don't even like inviting my friends over because they don't have as much. thanks...

no, i'm one out of 5 kids actually. i have a 12 yo bro (Kameron), a 18 yo bro (Kason), a 20 yo sis (Kathryn) and a 23 yo bro (Kaden). my name is Karman. and we aren't a rich family. a middle class family in a middle class neighborhood. we never go out to eat and never splurge on anything. Christmas and birthdays are the ONLY time of year when my parents buy us anything (except for maybe clothes at a yardsale or something).

You seem to know that you have a lot more than others and seem appreciative of it, so I would say no. Spoiled would be having all that stuff and wanting more without working for it the way you are saving up.
You don't seem spoiled, you just have a lot of cool stuff.

No, you're not spoiled!!! I have all those already except for the guitar, laptop, and a digital camera. I want some new games for my wii but I'm not that big on video games. I don't have a job but I help my mom and dad alot. And I also try to behave myself too!!! I don't beg for stuff and I pay for most my things from my allowance(I get 10 bucks a week). YOU ARE JUST VERY LUCKY. :D

I think you've posed a conundrum! Because initially, it would sound as if you are spoiled. You have a lot of "things" that most kids your age only dream about. But then you said that you buy a lot of these things yourself, so it's not as if all of this it's given to you. I will say this one thing though, having so much material wealth can make it tougher on you as you grow up to be satisfied with less. That being said, from what I see, I don't think you are spoiled. â¥

No, you're not spoiled. Because you know how to save your money to get what you want. So that's not really called spoiled. You're just lucky to have such nice parents. I'm guessing you're the only child? But, I think you should start saving a little money in the bank for your further education. Like for college?

You have a lot of stuff for a 16 year old. How grateful are you for all your blessings? Since you don't mention your health I assume you are in good health. You should volunteer at a shelter or hospital, see what others endure and stop thinking about new acquisitions.
I am sure you will have a Happy Christmas even if you don't get a full complement of new toys.

jesus christ once said "earning lots and lots of money is less important than saving whatever money u have"
i think u r a little spoilt (no offence), becoz u bought all those things,,i appretiate u used ur own money,,but seriously, u wasted it,,as in today's world,,one can get happiness by knowledge,,more than money,,and more than love,,take my word,,
oh if i was in ur place,,i would have felt guilty,,and asked my parents "for this christmas eve, i need to go place where there r orphans, and places where senior citizen live(becoz their children kick them out),,and donate some money,,,so that i could be a little helpful and bring smiles on all those sad faces,,which would help me when i m alone and when i will get old"
pls do this,,ur parents will love u forever,,and u will get blessings from orphans and old ppl,,
^_^

No, you are not spoiled.
The fact that you pay for for cellphone and you are content to save for things that is not spoiled.
Spoiled would be having your parents pay for your cellphone bills, and throwing a tantrum if you don't get what you want.
Just consider yourself lucky.

Yes you have way too much material things. Your parents think they can buy your love and good behavior.
It's not those types of things that bring real joy to a person. It's integrity, self worth, self respect, a strong feeling of purpose and a close relationship with God that brings real, everlasting and deep joy.
You don't seem like a brat, though. But if you had a desire to share some of it, there's plenty of kids that you know that don't have any, and you could give some to them and still have plenty.
Have a great day.
