I am interested in making my own soil heating cables and I was wondering if anyone know how to go about this?
I have a basic concept of what they do but I am little fuzzy on some things like what resistors to use and what gauge of wire to use, basically some math and some practical experience.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never saw a worm haul wood for heat. Listen to Experimenter and you won't have to worry about a house. Look in your Home and garden section as they sell these heat cables in different Lengths. They already have a thermostat control attached and can be buried under the soil. They are held in place with staples or push pins. I had one for over 15 years until some one cut it with a shovel.
