If the same key is used for the front & back doors, do you insist on cleaning it first so as not to transfer any dirt from one cylinder to the other?

U can clean it urself, called a face towel and soap....

Well that depends. The front door is often well oiled and clean, so there's no problems there. The back door needs to be oiled in order to get the key in without damaging the cylinders. The back door may have some dirt and grime, but I don't think it's as dirty as some think it might be. Pretty much depends on the house...

Rule of thumb?: There's a reason why you wipe front to back more than back to front...

Yes.

For the same reason you wouldn't put diesel in a regular gasoline car.
It's too unrefined.. not good..
You'll f*ck up the engine.
