If you go to the website for any professional team and go to their "store," you can buy team apparel. But, $80 for a sweatshirt? What's the deal? Why so expensive?

You're not paying for the shirt, you're paying for the name. It's not just with NFL or college affiliated apparel either. Go to a Harley Davidson store or their webpage sometime. I only buy stuff when it's on clearance. Otherwise, I buy offbrand stuff and sew patches and stuff on myself.

The color and print is what you're paying for, so in a sense you're not so much buying the clothes as you are the name printed on it.

Logo = Style = Price......team logos are virtually designer logos and you basically are paying more for that patch that is sewn onto the garment.

you're not paying for the shirt... you're paying for the player's name and number...it's a ripp-off... and their way to make extra money
