NO
The w-2 is a tax document that must be released to the workers by the end of January so they can do them to do their taxes. That is the only legal requirement.
Since most single people get refunds and many people want payday loans the tax preparation industry has been pushing the idea of getting your W-2 and filing your taxes electronically and then giving people a high interest loan based on their refund. This is what those "instant refunds" cost, and is a secret of the industry with interest rates approaching 20%.
Some places are even using a company's pay stub to replace the W-2 since monthly deductions are the in the same amount. This means they can get those money generating "instant refunds" out faster than ever.
Originally the W-2 was given out sometime in January or early February so the taxes can be completed by the April deadline. and there was no pressure on getting them released.
No person, individual or group is intittled to get their W-2s released early for any reason. It is totally up to the company, the only legal requirment is that they be released by the end of January.

Nope. They're generated when they're generated. It'll either be sent to you or you'll have to arrange to pick it up depending on company policy.

no because they only file the paperwork when its due, because it has to deal with specific dates, so they usually dont do it early incase things change.
you can call and see if you can request it tho, but i wouldnt hold your breath.
