For those of you wanting to know the direction, I live in Ohio, and I want to go as far as west as possible :o)

Very crazy.
And just about every worthwhile achievement in human history was accomplished by someone people thought of as crazy. Being totally sane all the time is an excellent way to ensure mediocrity and status quo.
The cliche is trite but it's also true: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. So it seems to me you have one question to ask yourself: Is the potential reward worth the risk?

well I don't think its crazy. More like following your heart and doing what you want to do. I live in AZ and there is not much special about this place. It is a lot different here than it is in say Tennessee or Ohio. I went to Tennessee and was very surprised by how nice people were there compared to here. But it may just be the people I met and the experiences I had. *shrugs*. I plan on picking up and moving to Washington as soon as I get a chance to. I'm tired of the sun (it is ALWAYS sunny here and it can really get depressing) and want to live somewhere where it rains. =) good luck whether you do it or not

Crazy is all relative.

It really depends on the circumstances.

Moving 2,000 miles because something upset you (getting dumped, fired, etc.) isn't so much crazy as maybe just... a decision that hasn't really been thought through.

Moving 2,000 miles for good cause - an awesome job promotion, the possibility for advancement in your career, pursuing a dream, love, etc., those are all great reasons to move.. if, of course, you have the means to do so.

It never shows me when you post a question, and it is really starting to chap my ***. Sorry the answer is so late. I feel like a terrible person. Obviously you should move here to Utah. Not only is there endless opportunity to make fun of others, I can give you all the cupecakes/peanut butter/pretzels that your little heart desires. I will even grow a mustache and take up smoking in order to replace ManWell/Vernon and MM. I'll throw in some lemonade for good measure. Come on, you know you want me...

It's not crazy, it's an adventure! I've done it. I moved from the mid west to the west coast ( over 2000 miles) and that was in a Ryder Truck treking across the country in January . Couldn't do that again. Don't think my poor old body could handle it.

My hubby and I got soooo tired of family interference that we packed up and moved clear to MONTANA! We knew noone and didnt have millions of dollars either! But we did it and life has been soooooo wonderful since! I still get home sick every so often and we do go visit once a year- but then run like hell when we r done! GO FOR IT! Go with your heart and instinct! Merry Christmas!

Well, I live in Ohio too but I would move in a heartbeat if I took the notion. I don't have a bunch of stakes in the ground holding me down. If I did, I would still go if I so chose to. No one would hold me back, I may love someone here, but they don't rule over me. They are only a mate, not my dictator. So I would leave, I would, I, Gone!

Well... a friend of mine was fed up with where his life was at. He had a desk job in NYC, getting decent pay and all, but not going anywhere. Quite literally on a whim, he put in his two weeks notice, and moved out to Las Vegas, where he now lives with his cousin and helps teach. He couldn't be happier. Do you consider him crazy?

My friend did it with her husband (he got a new job), they moved from California to Pennsylvania. She looked at it as an opportunity and thought she was crazy once she got there. But, now she has a support system and friends and things are somewhat better. But, she still misses home!
